Audrey Hepburn is one of my fashion icons. There are so many things I like about her. “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible!” 😍😍She was a very well-known British actress and humanitarian. And all these years have gone by, she still remains one of the top fashion icons.

Her style was effortlessly chic and elegant. She created so many styles we could copy from. However, I like to talk about Little Black Dress (LBD) as I love black outfits. I recently posted about my love for black outfits. https://fashionbykukanaana.com June 11 post. When I talk about LBD, I have to talk about her movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

I watched her previous movie Roman Holiday, but after I saw “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” immediately Audrey Hepburn became one of my fashion icons. Her black dress is simple, elegant, and iconic. Designer Hubert de Givenchy designed two sleeveless black dress for only Audrey Hepburn.

In reality, black dress gained its popularity when Coco Chanel introduced it in 1920 and Hollywood’s influence on fashion helped it. However, Hollywood’s love for black dresses at that time was for more practical reasons due to other colors looked distorted.

Here, I am trying to create “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” look but with a more modern twist. I am wearing a short leather dress (Alexis) with long black gloves (you can get in Amazon) and holding a peacock feather instead of a slim cigarette holder. I created my hair up do using pearl and sparkling bobby pins instead of headbands. My pearl necklaces are also a bit different. I love pearls and have many pearl necklaces so I am wearing three necklaces together.

Overall I think it came out all right considering that I did this all by myself and used what I already have. Audrey Hepburn is one of my fashion icons and I am sure she will be for a long time.
