How to Create 5 Simple Looks with a Lace Top

In today’s post, I like to share how to create 5 simple looks with a lace top. So I had this lace top for almost 10 years. Initially, I bought these two tops, beige and black color at Express. Of course, as usual, I wore quite often in the beginning and set aside. I moved about three years ago where I live now, and as you know, moving always allows rearranging things and reorganize things. When I was moving, I donated many of my items, but I kept those two lace tops for whatever reason. And guess what, fashion repeats, and I start wearing again.

Creating 5 Different Look

1. Wear with Similar Lace Skirt to Create a Dress Look

Since fashion repeats and lace tops are back in fashion, I start wearing a lace top again. However, I want to update my look. And luckily enough, I found a very similar color lace skirt, thus creating a dress look. The trick is you need to find a skirt with very similar color, so it blends into it easily.

2. Wear with a Decorated Skirt

The other way to wear it is to combine it with a decorative or punky skirt for the evening look. However, this look might be more of a going-out look, unless you can wear it with a jacket and then I think you can wear it to work. But I am not talking about office outfits, so I will say this look is less date night.

I am also showing the black lace top with a feathered skirt. So you see, with a lace top (if the top is fitted), you can create casual or fancy looks.

3. Wear a Lace Top with Your Favorite Skinny Jeans

Wearing your favorite jeans with a lace top works as well. I prefer mine with skinny jeans, but any jeans will do. The lace top makes it less casual if you don’t want to be too casual but don’t want to dress up too much. This kind of outfit is a suitable date casual outfit as well. You don’t want to look like you want to impress someone, yet you don’t want to look too casual. If that’s the case, a little bit of fancy lace and mix with casual jeans will work.

4. Wear with Wide Leg Pants

If you prefer wearing pants over a skirt, another way to wear them is to pair them up with wide-leg pants. I suggest that the material of the pants is solid, like wool, instead of polyester. Because a lace top is a fashion, but if you want to wear it at work, I still recommend wearing a cami under and wearing a pant with solid to project a professional image.

5. Wear with Jumpsuit or Romper

Jumpsuit or romper is in fashion big time this year. Because those are easy to wear and between seasons you can always wear them with a blouse or sweaters. Here I am wearing a lace top and summer jumpsuit that I got for Christmas gift. I usually wear a jumpsuit or rompers when I run errands. It’s easy and fashionable too.

How to Create 5 Simple looks with a Lace Top Conclusion

So here is my way of styling a lace top to create 5 simple looks. Looks that not too overwhelming or not too casual. After all, lace creates a delicate and romantic look by the nature of the material; however, I think you can still wear it to work as long as you can limit your accessories or wear simple solid color shoes.

Of course, the color of lace can give a different feeling. Therefore, combining lace with other outfits requires thinking, For instance, staying one color, wearing solid material of the clothing, limiting accessories, and then you can wear it to work. After all, fashion should reflect your mood, your personality.
