Whether you are classic traditional, or chic style, most of us might have a combination of styles. When you figure out what style, you can experiment to see what represents you the most.
You might think you are a traditional classic style, and try the outfit that reflects that and realize that you are not comfortable wearing that style of clothes. After all, your style has to represent you, and you feel comfortable about it. It is more likely when you try on the clothes, you know whether the image of the outfit you are wearing represents you or not. You can experiment with style and fabric. By experiment, you will gradually develop your own. You may realize you also like to mix and match. Basically, there is no need to settle with one style; you can always mix different styles if that works.
