How to Make Your Skin Glow
How to make your skin glow? I know since we are in the pandemic, we are not going out as much. These days, our outing is going out to the grocery stores or in the office. However, still, things are happening. We still have to live. We can’t live in fear. Especially the holiday is approaching; there are some gatherings even though it will be a minimal people gathering, it is going to happen. We have to be extra careful and protect ourselves and others, whether it is a small family gathering or some celebration party they really want to do. Or weddings that have been planned years back or date nights that we put back burner because of all worries. Outing for special events or attending small gatherings with your significant other or date night, it is still happening. So I like to share my skincare routine I do, and on a special occasion, what extra steps I do to make my skin glow.
1 Calendula Peel Off Face Mask
The first step to prepare our skin to glow is to use Calendula Peel Off Face Mask. After wash, the face and toner, use Calendula Peel Off Face Mask for 25-30 minutes. This particular peel-off mask contains brightening serum so that you will feel your skin tightening and bright. There is a slight herbal smell, but it isn’t unpleasant.
2. Korean Snail Face Mask
The second step is to use the Korean Snail Face Mask. There are several Korean Snail Face Mask, and I think La Pure works the best. It’s a hydrating mask that helps anti-aging. You pay a little more than others, but it’s worth it. Also, it comes with a “golden ticket” that allows you to get one free packet. When you leave 15-20 minutes and take it off, you will surely feel the skin is very soft and moist.
3. Facial Toner
After the Korean Snail Mask, use toner to cool down and balance your skin. You will see and feel after Korean Snail Mask how soft your skin looks like, and with toner, your skin is calmer and ready for the next step.
4. Vitamin C Lotion or Shiseido Ultimune Power Serum
So we have heard a lot about a Vitamin C lotion. Vitamin C lotion brightens our dull skin, so it’s beneficial to apply to our skin to prepare to create a glow effect. If you don’t want o use Vitamin C lotion, I recommend Shiseido Ultimune Power Serum. It strengthens skin against daily damage and visible signs of aging. When you use Vitamin C or Serum, you may not notice your skin is changing; however, when you stop using it, and then you will see the benefit of these.
5. Basic Face Lotion and Sun Block
I know it seems many steps, and believe me, I don’t do this every time all together in sequence. I use Calendula Peel Off Face Mask twice a week and Korean Snail Mask 2-3 times weekly. What I like about these two, after I apply, I can still do other things, like playing the cello. Because I believe we need to take care of our basic skin, and if we have done that, it’s a matter of how we use makeup accordingly. So after Vitamin C or Ultimune Power Serum, it’s time to apply lotion. I used Korean Faces Snail Lotion, but recently I switch to Shishido. The reason I use this particular one is that I can use it both morning and evening. Therefore, it’s convenient, and it does the job.
As you may know, many lotions come with build-in sunblock, so if you feel you will be indoors most of the time, you may not need to apply sunblock. However, I do use sunblock to get more protection for my skin.
6. Brighten Enhance Base
After lotion or face cream, I use Cle de Peau Beaute Brighten Enhance Base for my primer base. There are several good primer bases before foundation; however, Cle de Peau Peau Brighten Enhance Base really lifts the face much brighter, so it will help to prepare your skin to glow.
7. Revlon Rose Glow and Foundation
Before applying the foundation, apply Revlon Rose Glow all over the face to get an extra glow. If you prefer, you can mix it with foundation and apply it together.
8. Hollywood Flawless Tilter
This is the last step of how to make your skin glow. This Hollywood Flawless Tilter is the area you want to give an extra glow, like cheekbones or forehead. As it says, many Hollywood stars use this on their red carpet appearance.
Collagen
So here you have it; how to make your skin glow. However, if you take care of your skin every day by wearing sunblock, eating healthy, and don’t smoke when you are ready to apply makeup to create a glowing look, it will be much easier. To have a good foundation of healthy skin and maintain good, healthy skin, we need collagen. However, as we age, we produce less collagen; therefore, taking collagen supplemental help. There are several benefits of taking supplement collagen. Collagen promotes our skin elasticity, boosts muscle mass as well as supports our bone and joint health. I think it is equally important to take care of our basic skincare internally so that it can produce a better result when we put on make-up. You may not see the result right away; however, you will definitely see the difference by taking supplemental collagen in the long run.
