Today’s topic is how to stay current with fall fashion on a budget. As fall is rapidly approaching, many of us may be thinking of organizing the closet and starting planning for the fall. Obviously, the finance is not an issue; we can buy a new set of fall outfits and let it go with it. Unfortunately, the majority of us are not in a situation where we can buy new sets of outfits without any restrictions. So, the best way to stay current, in my opinion, requires a plan.

Learn about Fall Fashion Trends

The first thing is to learn about fall fashion looks. I will focus on colors, style, and possibly accessories because accessories are a simple way to upgrade looks. Luckily, fashion repeats itself. The style can come back or some variation that you may notice. You already own some pieces.

So, how do we determine what will be hot this coming fall? The best way for us to find out is to check out Google search or Pinterest or possibly fashion magazines such as Glamours, Vogue, etc., and here are my findings. So this year, the fall fashion colors would be red, butter, and pink due to the popular movie Barbie’s influence.

The popular pieces would be structured suits, sweaters, peplum, and off-shoulder styles. In addition, these fall accessories will be big and loud, meaning they will be huge earrings, a large patterned scarf, oversized clutches, and logo bags.

Organize the closet

The second step is to organize your closet. The purpose of managing your wardrobe is to see what will be able to incorporate what you already own. For instance, I own an oversized jacket – it’s been popular for a few years. This still is a fall fashion trend piece. I also own a long mid-skirt that still be in fall fashion. Now, you organize your closet to see what you can make into your fall fashion pieces.

What to add to stay with current fall fashion

The final step is to decide what you want to add based on what you already have based on your budget. Add one piece of the current style peplum top, or add accessories.

Basically, utilize what you already own and upgrade by adding a few new pieces. Your goal is to stay in current fashion, so you don’t need to buy a classic or brand name. Find pieces on your budget and decide to add, whether trend color-driven or accessories.
