How to style a day dress to a night out is today’s post. Most of us work and also spend awful lots of time at work. Top of that, especially in California, it’s very hard to go home to change and go out for a night out, dinner date, or drink. Just a side note, I just read the article saying that including over time, we are more likely spend over 15 years of our time at work. So let’s figure out this.
When we are born, we don’t know what to do. I think our life starts independently once we graduate college. In some cases, after graduating high school and living until the mid-80s, we have about 60 years. So if we subtract out the work year, the life we live is now 45 years, and we have to consider our sleep time, eating, etc., so we don’t have a lot of time we spend for ourselves.
So that’s why I think it is essential we do work that makes up feel happy. However, this is another topic I might want to post. But today’s post is how we can dress for the office and also be able to change for a night out.

How to Style Daytime Dress
1. Sleeveless Stripeless Black Dress
The simple black dress is an easy piece to work on, whether for work or evening out. Since you plan an evening out, I will choose a more skin-showing dress, especially during summer.
2. Add White Jacket
During the office, of course, you will not show too much skin; you need to keep your professional image. The easy way style is wearing a jacket. The Black and white combination is easy and works well. Here I wear a long boyfriend white jacket.

3. Sparkling Black High Heels
In current fashion, sparking is everywhere. Therefore, even in the daytime, you can wear without too much worrying about what others think. Moreover, I don’ want to carry an extra pair of shoes, so I’m wearing the evening in mind.
4. Handbag
Even though almost everyone carries a tiny handbag these days, I don’t seem to be able to do it. Here I am matching with one of my favorite Louis Vuitton handbags. With this, I can put almost anything, including the tiny handbags I plan to wear in the evening.
How to Style to Night Out
1. Add a Shawl
You will leave a jacket but add a shawl. Here I am wearing a sheer large scarf as a shawl. This scarf is black. However, it has engraved flowers that make it more unique than plain black.
2. Add Classic Earrings and Necklace
Since I accessorized my day look with pearl earrings and necklace, nothing I particularly change to style here, except switching my pearl earrings to dangling pearl earrings. Because I cover up with a black shawl, I use more colors to bring up my face. If you use a bright shawl, over-accessorizing might produce the opposite effect.
3. Carry a cute small handbag
Now the only essential item that you need to switch is a handbag. A small, cute bag that is just enough to carry your phone and key. Now you are ready for an evening out.
How to Style Day to Night Conclusion
Often you may not have enough time to go home to change and head out your night out, so if there is a way you can easily transform from your day look to night look, that is a simple solution you can manage. You need to plan and take a few items that can help style your look to do this.
In the style example, you can always adapt. For example, instead of a dress, you can wear a jumpsuit. Instead of a jacket, you can wear a cardigan. You have an idea. In my opinion, the main pieces that make the transit the day to night style are shoes and handbag. Therefore, it might be beneficial to have a couple of classic shoes and night handbags or clutches.
Organize your closet and put things together, and when the day to night out happens, just grab a few items, style, and go.
Stay safe and self-care this uncertain time. Also, if you like to share that day to evening out style ideas, please leave comments.
