How To Wear Leather leggings to Look Stylish

Today I like to share how to wear leather leggings to look stylish and fabulous. Leggings have become hugely popular these days. Initially, we are wearing leggings for exercise. When we run, we can wear them, when we do yoga, we can wear them. Of course, anywhere between running errands, we can wear them and suddenly it becomes a fashion statement. In my opinion, leggings can be very flexible wear that can be style up and down. On top of that, it can be very sexy due to show most of our leg muscles. And of course, as long as we change the top, it looks like we are wearing a new outfit every day. I love leather items because I feel I can wear them all year round regardless of what season. So here is how I style my leather leggings in 6 different ways.

1. Wear with lace sleeve less top with a coat

The key to looking good with legging is the length of the top. It should hit just the right place, middle of the hip, or longer, and cover the hip entirely. Or just above the waistline to show all. I am 5’4.” It’s average height. Also, my legs are not that long due to having a long upper body. So I rely on high heels a lot, especially when I wear leggings. Boots go better when we wear leggings. Here I am wearing my black faux leather legging pants and the lace top from TJ Maxx on sale (I don’t think you can see my top well. But it’s a lace top). Wearing/carrying a red long coat.

2. Wear see-through puff-sleeved lace top

Another way to wear legging is to style with a puff-sleeved top. Puff sleeve has been popular last 2-3 years and hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down. I expect next year it will be in fashion as well. Here I am wearing with puff-sleeved see-through lace top. If you are not comfortable with see-through, you can wear cami inside. However, it’s long-sleeve, and when you wear all black, it doesn’t look so sheer. Obviously, you are not going to wear to go to work; however, casual date night late summer works fine, in my opinion.

3. Wear with white T-shirt and cardigan

Another way to style it and look fabulous is to wear with plain white T-shirts. Here I am wearing a plain white T-shirt. And carry a black cashmere cardigan to top up in case when it gets cold. I think leggings very versatile in any way. It can be very casual, or it can be very fancy depending on how we wear it. Sometimes, a simple white T-shirt with jeans is the best way to wear jeans. So why not just wear simple white T-shirts with black leggings.

4. Wear with oversized sweater

I am wearing an oversized turtleneck cashmere sweater (the sweater is about 3 years old) with legging in this picture. The sweater neck got loose, so I put a pin to keep the shape and keep my neck warm. The back of the sweater is a little longer than the front, which I like. I tend to have the dark color outfits more than any other, however, if you have any bright color sweaters, it will work well.

5.Wear with structured jacket

Here I am wearing a structured jacket with leggings. With a jacket, even with leggings, looks professional. You can wear it with a belt if you like. I wear this at work casual Friday or when I don’t see any clients. These days, we are a lot more forgiving about what to wear to go to work. I used to wear suits all the time, but I don’t do that anymore. First of all, I think it’s pretty hard for me to find the suit fit well. The theory that comes to my mind still makes suits and fits me well because Theory makes a tiny size. But then I still have to fix the length, etc., so I spent more money than I like. So I usually try to find material that I don’t have to fix and ended up wearing a lot more dresses than suits.

6. Wear with bright causal jacket

The other way to wear leather leggings is to wear a bright-colored jacket. Here I wear a black top, black legging pants, black boots, and a bright yellow jacket. If I had a yellow handbag, I could have coordinate it with the jacket. Yellow is the easiest color to visibly see. So when you wear all black, wearing yellow gives uplifting.

So here are the ways to how to wear leather leggings to look stylish and fabulous. Actually, there is no way wearing leggings doesn’t look fabulous. Whether you wear a coat, sweater, lace top, puff-sleeved, it’s all good. It just needs to accessorize with boots, cross bags, hats, or any statement pieces you like.

I have shown you here is every day’s wear we can wear. Like a normal working person like us will not spend tons of money on outfits. Sure we do have few pieces of outfits we spend money on it. But by large, we will spend money on what we see as the value. You can buy certain items on sale, or you can buy consignment stores as well. I often find the clothes with tags attached in the consignment stores. Also, we can rent the clothes as well. So be fashionable, wear what reflects you. That’s going to make you feel confident and comfortable.
