What am I eating when can’t go out self-quarantine

What am I eating when I can’t go out self-quarantine? Well, if you are like me, working professionals, self-sufficient, and surrounded by people who love to cook, cooking is not something I think about. At least to me, it is. Some of you may like cooking and enjoy doing so. Unfortunately and fortunately not for me. However, during the pandemic, I am forced to cook since I can’t really go out to the restaurants or even gather with friends who cook. I don’t really eat fast food that much. Once a while only when I am craving for french fries and yeah, I do.

Breakfast

I must say my weekend breakfast has been a feast. I start my day slow so I can take time to drink coffee and prepare my breakfast. Mostly croissant and fruits, Avocado, and sometimes prosciutto. I met the true gold honey owner http://www.truegoldhoney.com when I attended LA Fashion week two years ago, and discover the avocado honey. I usually dip my croissant in the avocado honey. And the presentation is key. I use fancy plates and cups.

On weekdays when I have to work, my breakfast is usually almond croissant with black coffee. But the weekend, breakfast, I eat like a queen.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ If you like my Japanese style plates, you can click the link and check them out.

Lunch

What am I eating during self-quarantine for lunch? My lunch is usually from local restaurants, “take out” food. I order from Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Thai restaurants. However, many times I get a packed lunch from my colleague/friend. It’s great to have a friend who cooks. In fact, luckily most of my friends cook. Most Asian cruises done with rice. I don’t eat rice that much. I prefer noodles. So I usually buy individually packed rice that I can microwave. But most Asian families have a rice cooker so that they can make a large quantity of rice.

Dinner

So I cooked during self-quarantine Easter, Bow-tie pasta. I, at least, can cook a couple of things pretty well๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚. https://fashionbykukanaana.com/this-year-easter-sunday/ And for dinner, depending on how hungry I am and when I get home from work, unless I work remotely at home, I have been cooking awful lots of noodles. It’s simple and quick to fix. I can also add egg, meat, or seafood, depending on what kind of noodle I cook. I love seafood. I stir fry giant shrimps. And once a while I eat red meat. I pick up already cooked chicken from the store, Ralphs. So basically for dinner, I either fix something very simple, like noodles or chicken. Or pasta dishes that relatively easy to fix.

Snacks

When you can get the perfect avocados, that’s great. Avocado is one of my snacks. Avocados are fruit even though many of us think it is veggie. And it has lots of fat, but it’s good fat, lots of vitamins and tons of other goodies. It’s sometimes hard to find perfectly ripe avocados. The other snacks I have gummy bears. Mind you, I don’t eat a lot, but it perks me up when I am feeling sluggish when I need sugar. Yummy, chocolates too. I eat only two pieces of dark chocolates more likey. I buy a box and keep it in the refrigerator. And of course, ice cream once a while.

What am I eating when I can’t go out during self-quarantine? Lots of food. More food than I used to it. Food with lots of love too. Yes, for sure food with lots of love โคโค๐Ÿ˜Š

Cheers !!
